Hanam BBQ which is known as Hanam Pig in Korea is famous Korean BBQ chain restaurant that has around 200 stores nationwide (in Korea) and this Malaysia branch opened in United Point 2 years ago. After some foodie posted reels about the restaurant and it became viral in social media, the queue is long during meal hours (plus no reservation allowed) so as usual I did not give a try until the craze is over. After they open another outlet in Bamboo Hill, we guess the queue should be not as long as before. So last night we decided to drop by to check it out, spotted no queue outside! However we was told that it's full house so we might need to wait for 15 or 30 mins. Since they have queue system where we will be informed via sms when table is available, we finally give a try.

하남돼지집 말레이시아 ~ Hanam BBQ, United Point
After obtain a queue number, we go round to checkout other shops in the same floor since it's our first time here to United Point. In just about 5 mins time, I received the SMS notifying about the table is ready. And here's our yummy thick cut Korean BBQ pork. Instead of going for the set, we choose to order ala carte - Samyeopsal pork belly 140g, Hanjungsal - Jowl meat 150g, assorted mushroom and a steamed egg with flying fish roe.
Our meal is truly satisfying! The meat cut is thick however after grill, it does shrink a a little so that's the only part I didn't expect. Their signature condiment~ Kalamansi-wasabi and the veggie for wrap~ Myeong-i-na-mul (wild garlic leaves) is my favourites. Myeong-i namul is commonly served in Korea not just with Korean BBQ but with steamed pork. However I rarely see here in Malaysia therefore I am so happy that I can eat it again with the BBQ pork. Their steamed egg is highly recommended too! Look forward to come back again for other cuts.
