Yuzu Gozen set lunch~ Yuzu Japanese Restaurant, Suria KLCC

A very short notice and sudden move of office from The Intermark to a office building next to Petronas Twin Towers this month. First day moving into new office, went for lunch at KLCC with Chief and the building sales manager at this Yuzu Japanese restaurant recommended by Chief. I just noticed that the entire KLCC eateries are halal or pork free! Chief buying us lunch and he recommended me to take the Yuzu Gozen which he says it's worth for the value of RM59. It consists of grilled wagyu beef, sashimi, assorted sushi, tempura, chawanmushi, appetizer, pickles, salad, cut fruits, and tea pot soup. We also share an extra oven baked large oyster with white sauce and cheese. The building sales manager said she is on diet so she order a soft shell crab and salmon skin salad. The meal is really nice! Worth to come back for the lunch set when I have extra budget for lunch.

Jokbal - Korean Braised pig's trotters~ Wang Jok, Desa Sri Hartamas

During MCO, when we are not allow to travel more than 10km from home, plus no dine-in allowed. One of the Korean food delivery I order the most is Wangjok's Jokbal. Jokbal 족발 is a Korean style pig's trotters cooked with soy sauce and spices. The set I order below is Jokbal - small serving at RM65. Comes with lettuce, kimchi, pickles, onions and green chilies as well as condiments for ssam (Korean wrap). The makgoeli is not comes with the delivery. It's a gift and about to expired so decided to drink while have Jokbal. I would say they have the best Jokbal in town, so far I can find Jokbal elsewhere except Wangjok. In fact, the place has been around in Desa Sri Hartamas more than 10 yaers. It used to located at the 1st floor of the shoplot at Jalan 22b/701 - facing the main road of Kerinchi Link. Always can spot the place whenever I drive thru going into Mon't Kiara entrance.

Before Covid break out, there's very little option when it comes to Korean food delivery. Most of the authentic Korean restaurants in my area need to be self pickup after order thru phone call. Few of them do offer deliver to doorstep with minimum spent of RM50 and above. Another option is MAPE Run - a Korean delivery service by order thru Kakaotalk or Whatapps, but it did not cover all Korean restaurants. Now we are in Covid, in order to survive, majority become available on Grab, Foodpanda etc. Minimum order has lower to the standard rate of RM15. But Korean food itself is not cheap though, easily cost RM25 for a stew. So some have seen to customized individual meal set in order to get more orders. Sincerely hope that all businesses survive thru the Covid pandemic.
