Bacon Negi Okonomiyaki~ Okomen Japanese Restaurant, Desa Sri Hartamas

Sis bought this Groupon meal voucher for us to enjoy a meal nearby our new place. This Okomen Japanese restaurant located right opposite the Dae Bok Jang Korean restaurant we frequently dine-in at Desa Sri Hartamas. The entrance is so dim at night, we couldn't located at first when we arrived. There are a lot of Japanese customers than the locals. We notice most of the them are having the same thing - Okonomiyaki. Probably because this is a Okonomiyaki restaurant, or it could be because they are using groupon voucher. We are allow to choose any 2 from the 4 main dishes in the menu by using the voucher. We go for their signature Bacon Negi Okonomiyaki and Pai Ku Ramen.

Okonomiyaki is a  Japanese pancake filled with yamaimo, cabbage, spring onion and pork bacon sliced. To me, eating it alone is little bit "heavy". It would be good to to be shared among 2-3 pax over a drink. Too bad I don't drink. The Pai Ku Ramen is Tonkatsu soup ramen with pork oil & fragrant garlic oil, served with crispy pork-ribs, vegetable and flavored egg. The broth is good but the noodle is a little smaller size than normal serving! We also order an extra dish ~ deep fried squid by paying RM10 as total bill when we checkout. Thanks sis for the lovely treat~♡

Nasi Lemak~ Madam Kwan's, Suria KLCC

His brother and wife who visited KL last year strongly recommended us to try the Nasi Lemak from Madam Kwan. So after a year, we finally give a try to this award-wining + best Nasi Lemak in town haha! Unlike the nasi lemak I normally had, Madan Kwan's Nasi Lemak is more towards Chinese / Nyonya style. I could relate why foreigner (especially Koreans) likes it as this mild spicy combination of sambal ikan bilis + curry chicken with gravy is more easy to be accept by them. I personally love the finely grind dried shrimp floss! That's what makes their nasi lemak special.

He chose to have chicken chop with mushroom sauce - Malaysian style chicken chop - deep fried boneless chicken coated with breadcrumbs, accompanied with vegetables and french fries, and choice of black pepper, mushroom or garlic sauce. We also order an extra dish ~ 5 pieces of deep fried chicken wing in their house special recipe. Thinking that our stomach can load in extra dish beside the main dish, end up take away the deep fried chicken wing home for supper. The serving is quite big portion. We actually feel very full just with the main dish and a glass of fresh honeydrew for sharing.
