8 Colours 8 Flavours Korean BBQ Pork Belly~ Palsaik Korean BBQ, Solaris Mont Kiara

Husband's ex-colleague open a Korean BBQ restaurant in Soho KL, Solaris Mont Kiara ~ A famous Korean BBQ chain lately very popular in Korea named Palsaik. Pal-saik means 8 colours in Korean. The 8 colours here refer to 8 kinds of flavors of pork belly~ Ginseng, Wine, Pine needles, Garlic, Herb, Curry, Soy bean paste and Hot pepper sauce. There are only 3 sets of BBQ menu to choose. We choose the signature menu ~ Eight-Colors Set @ RM112.00. It has 8 Flavors of Marinated Pork + Seafood Soup which is suitable for 3-4 pax. The other set are Tricolor Set @ RM92.00 suitable for 2 pax - consist of 3 Flavors Pork + Fresh scallops + Grilled Deodeok Root or Premium Kimchi. And Premium Set @ RM142.00 consists of 8 Flavors of Marinated Pork + Seafood soup + Grilled Deodeok Root + Premium Kimchi - suitable for 3-4 pax as well.

The server first place the beans sprout, kimchi, enoki mushroom, garlic and some green chilies on one side of the heated grill pan, then start to grill first 4 flavours of the pork belly followed by other 4s after we done eating. We could taste the different flavour by eating the BBQ pork belly alone without putting other seasoning such as ssamjang. The seafood dwenjang guk that comes along the set goes really well with barbecue pork. The 8 colors set is just nice for 2 of us although it stated 3-4 pax serving. Maybe we are big eater lol. After I shared photos of our meal in Palsaik in Facebook, few friends of mine went to try and they all commented it is good and unique.
