Batu Caves

Batu Caves is a sacred place of Hindu Shrine that worship Hindu deity Lord Murugan, and pilgrimage sites for the Hindu devotee. The hindu devotee, including tourists or visitors, need to climb 272 stairs to the top, where the Temple of Murugam is located inside the cave. Besides the 272 stairs, the 140 feet tall gigantic gold painted statue of Lord Murugan is another attractions of Batu Caves. Apart from that, I often remember Batu Caves with flock of pigeons waiting to be feed at the square, and naughty monkeys that might disturb you or trying to snatch your things including hat while you walking up or down the stairs..

I've been here almost every year since relocated to KL in year 2010. Whenever friends or family visit, Batu Caves is one of the must visit attractions that shouldn't be miss. Everytime I climb up the 272 stairs to the top, always drenched in sweat no matter how slow I move. Buying a bottle of icy cold mineral water at RM3 to quench my thirst become a must-do thing when reaching the top. However, I never once regretted going up to the top as I always fascinated with the view inside cave and city skyline outside of the cave from top. See it for yourself when you visits Batu Caves.
