%Arabica, The Exchange TRX

I had my first cup of %Arabica coffee at Singapore 2 years ago when I was visiting Arab St. I was looking for coffee for my caffein fix and spotted a %Arabica branch located at the intersection of Arab street and Baghdad street. Unlike the %Arabic in Pavilion (Kuala Lumpur) with long queues and crazy crowds, this outlet has only few customers. Without hesitate I quickly went in and get myself an iced caffe latte @ SGD8. It is a cup of good coffee for me as I love arabica~ it's smoother and milder coffee robust with a chocolatey finish.

2 years and 1 month later, I am having my second cup of %Arabica and this time it is in my home country~ Malaysia. Me, bestie and her girl come to TRX for a leisure Saturday - let her girl spill her energy at the playground while we get to sit down beside, enjoy a cup of good coffee and have some talks. Since it is my first time buying %Arabica coffee in Malaysia, I only find out their coffee price today. To my surprise, the coffee price over here is just slightly cheaper than what I paid in Singapore 2 years ago after convert to MYR. Not the most expensive coffee I ever had so far but definitely not affordable to have it often. And that's my Iced americano (served in paper cup...) with Exchange 106 view behind from the playground.

Farewell lunch~ Beans Brother, The LINC, Jalan Tun Razak

I've been here for coffee since The Linc newly open. It's my favourite place for coffee and when I want to escape from office temporary. Today no coffee break but lunch to bid farewell to PS together with LC, friends from co-working space. We had pasta vongole, grilled three cheese (cheddar, gouda & mozzarella) sandwich and croissant with turkey ham and cheese. Going to miss my lunch partner PS a lot after she left ~

Good Coffee & Wasabi Mayo Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich~ Grizzly, The Intermark

There is this small cafe opened in a corner-lot at the lower ground of The Intermark that I would come over and grab sandwiches and coffee once in a while. The cafe name Grizzly where the brown bear is their ambassador or representative I guess. My favourite is their Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Wasabi Mayo. They have very good coffee. I would come over for a cup of flat white when I get bored with the Nespresso coffee in office, and take a short break with coffee at the cafe's cozy corner during office hour.

Last coffee in Busan~ Compose Coffee 컴포즈 커피

Last day in Busan. Early this morning, after sent off relatives to Gimhae Airport, instead of take taxi home, I suggest to take Busan Metro so I could take a glance of some the districts (outskirts of Busan) that I never visit before. Begin from Gimhae Airport, we first take the LRT where we able to see the view from train window for several numbers of station. Until we transit at Daejeo for Metro Line 3 and metro (train) started to go underground all the way until we reach Yeonsan metro station.

After arrived Yeonsan station, I quickly grab my last a-coffee-a-day in Busan before head home. This is another 2,500 won caffe latte from another Busan coffee chain named Compose Coffee 컴포즈커피. Established around the same time as when cheap and affordable take-out coffee culture started in 2015. This branch that I get my compose coffee is in Yeonsan. Up to today they have around 150+ chains all over Korea and continue to expand. Can't believe a month long break in Busan end just in a blink of eyes. I am glad that I've been travelled a lot, see a lot and eat a lot again during this trip.

2,300 won Cafe Latte~ The Liter, Yeonsan Togok Branch, Busan

The Liter is another coffee franchise selling large size coffee at affordable price just like The Venti. Two of them are the only coffee chains in Korea selling large capacity coffee with affordable price that I know so far. And their branch in Yeonsan 9-dong located close to each other along the same road in opposite direction. Also origin from Busan, 1L Coffee established in 2010 as a coffee distributor. The Liter (coffee franchise store) is launched later in summer 2015 with 20 stores opened in the same year. Follow by 80 stores in 2016, to currently 150 store in 2017. Their slogan is "bigger, cheaper and more delicious". Large capacity beverage of all menu at 1L; affordable price from 1,500 won to 4,500 won, and quality and taste is guarantee. My 1 liter freshly brew hot cafe latte cost only 2,300 won! The biggest size cafe latte I ever have so far in Busan! Size is slightly larger than The Venti's, therefore price is 300 won more than The Venti too. Basically both are equally good and affordable!

Lastly, a picture of my usual route to get my daily coffee nearby.

Pasta & Coffee~ Soul Cafe, Lorong Kek Chuan, Penang

April 2015. Back to Penang for weekends and for bestie's wedding as I will be assisting her in her wedding. First thing first in the morning is drive her to bridal house at Lorong Kek Chuan for bridal makeup and dress-up. While waiting for our turns for makeup -- the groom, bride, best man, bridesmaid take turn to make-up -- some of us hop over to Soul Cafe next door for lunch. Besides coffee, the pasta is really really good! We order different types of pasta ~ Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, Linguine al Carbonara, Linguine al Boscaiola,, none of it disappointed us. My cappuccino is served in a mug that resemble camera lens - now I recall I've been seeing it few times in Instagram from friend's post. Cafe staff told us that we can get free tapas if we uploaded the coffee and food pictures on our Insta and tagged their page. Wait, so is that why my friend who visit here posted pictures in Instagram? haha. Oh, also surprise to find out that there's a Female only bunk hotel just above the cafe, know as Sogor Girls Dormitory. Thanks to the groom who pay for bill~

3D Art Coffee~ 55 Cafe, Steward Lane

Back to Penang for a short break. before leaving Penang, we came to cafe 55 for the famous 3D art coffee. So happen our first visit to 55 Cafe is the cafe's last day in Steward Lane. This heritage building in Steward lane where the cafe located now previously owned by a coffee manufacturer company named Kim Guan Coffee Factory. After today, they will move to 164 Lebuh Pantai and rename to Coffee On The Table

Look at my very first 3D Art Coffee and OMG! Cuteness overload! The 3D art is  up to the barista, we didn't get to choose. Barista made Hello Kitty for me and Lion Head for him. The 3D Art is made from Skim Milk foam and garnish with coco~ simply too cute and can't bear to drink and swallow the 3D art.
