Weekend lunch date with brother nearby my place as usual. Craving for xiao long bao, also rice and dishes, so we choose to have lunch at Paradise Dynasty in 163 Retail Park. Since sis and me are buying him a belated birthday meal, we order more dishes than usual. Guess we overdo it. We manage finish everything just the two of us, but it was so full that there's no more room for coffee or cake or dessert after meal. It was a great meal, though.
Were here for lunch, wanted local flavors but found out that what we want is is no available in the menu. So we choose to share a tagliatelle grilled salmon carbonara, a fluffy pancake topped with fresh fruits and snow sugar, served with maple syrup and butter, keropok lekor and 2 americano. The pancake serve golden berry as one of it's topping. It's my first time trying the golden berry. It has a tangy taste, it's like eating cherry tomato with tropical fruit taste. A cozy place that feels like I am at home~
Lunch with bestie before she leaves KL tomorrow. Saw this Baan Phadthai last night when we were here for chimek before half drunk. Suggest her Baan Phad Thai, she immediately say okay after have a look at the menu. We order Phad Thai Nuea Yang (Phad Thai with grilled steak), Tomyam Talay (Tom yam seafood soup served with Jasmine rice), and 2 ginger & lemongrass tea. The grilled steak that comes with Phad Thai is so juicy and tender, really worth for the RM29 I would say! Also surprise to find out that Baan Phadthai is awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand in Bangkok from 5 years in a row from 2018 to 2022 after the meal.
Bestie and I wanted to have talk over soju tonight. We both not a drinker. In fact I don't remember if we ever drink together after knowing each other for almost 20 years. Few days ago when I was in Pavilion with my Korean collogue who is holidaying in KL recommend me K-Experience which is having a promotion with buy 4 Cass beer Free 1 Soju. exactly what I am looking for. Besides the talk, we have fun laugh out loud with somaek (Soju + Maekju) and Red pepper serioes Kyochon fried chicken. Half drunk after finished 3 cans of Cass & 1 Soju. Feel so sorry to the Oppa who drink alone and find us too noisy, and move from indoor to outdoor seating haha!
A senior colleague who has been working in KL office for a few years revisit KL with his good friend. He contacted me to help him in some personal matter, in order to thank me, he buy me a lunch at Hakka Restaurant. I know bout the restaurant and have been seeing it all the times, but it is my first time dine in here today. It's a Hakka restaurants but what we had today is not all are those typical Hakka dishes except braised pork with bun. Other dishes more to local Chinese dish~ fried rice, seafood stir fried beehoon, stir fried kangkung with garlic, cereal prawns and beers~ Had beer during lunch is something I occasionally will encounter when it's lunch with the Koreans. And that old photos of old Hakka restaurants were found inside ladies restroom. The restroom which is located outside at the outdoor seating area, has an individual air-conditioner installed inside. It amazed me! I like it very much haha! As it is so comfortable to use the toilet in cold and chilly temperature in the hot afternoon!
After work. Slight drizzle. Came to REXKL for a bowl of fatty pork noodle that highly recommended by friend. Share a bowl of pork lard dry noodle with grilled pig ears, namyu beef slices, braised peanut, pickle veggie and extra topping of 32 days dry-aged duck ham and beer braised pork, everything is so so so satisfied for pork lovers like us. The perfectly well cook homemade noodle catch my heart too. If you love dry noodle with all sorts of stew or braised pork, you must give a try. Guarantee satisfying! There are a lot of hidden gems including tasty food at this F&B corner in REXKL that worth for you to slowly explore.
