3D Art Coffee~ 55 Cafe, Steward Lane

Back to Penang for a short break. before leaving Penang, we came to cafe 55 for the famous 3D art coffee. So happen our first visit to 55 Cafe is the cafe's last day in Steward Lane. This heritage building in Steward lane where the cafe located now previously owned by a coffee manufacturer company named Kim Guan Coffee Factory. After today, they will move to 164 Lebuh Pantai and rename to Coffee On The Table. Look at my very first 3D Art Coffee and OMG! Cuteness overload! The 3D art is  up to the barista, we didn't get to choose. Barista made Hello Kitty for me and Lion Head for him. The 3D Art is made from Skim Milk foam and garnish with coco~ simply too cute and can't bear to drink and swallow the 3D art.

Soondaeya Korean Restaurant, Ampang

After we had soondae at I-love-Topokki @ Kim's Mart, not satisfy with the portion served also they are using frozen soondae. We decided to come all the way to Ampang for fresh handmade soondae. Soondae is Korean blood sausage but there's no blood inside. It is steamed pig intestine stuffed with various ingredients such as bean curd, glass noodle, minced pork and vegetables. Usually eaten by dipping it with the mixture of salt, ground pepper and gochugaru that served along.

Located at the first floor, look for the Arab mini-market & Nabe Bakery you will be able to find Soondaeya signboard along the corridor. The restaurant with graffiti on the walls and private rooms with roller binds reminds me of makgoelli-jib - the eatery place that selling Korean rice wine and jeon in Korea. We had their signature dish~ Bossam (small) @ RM40 and Modum Soondae (small) @ RM40. Bossam is boiled pork belly served with kimchi and fresh vegetables for wraps. While Modum soondae (assorted soondae) has 3 types of soondae:- kimchi soondae, meat soondae and vegetable soondae. Food is in the video below.

Besides soondae, they also have Soondae-gukbap (pork sausage soup), Dweji-gukbap (pork soup), Seogogi-gukbap (beef soup), Seolleongtang (ox-bone soup), Galbi-tang (beef short rib soup), Ttukbaegi bulgogi (hotpot BBQ beef), Seonji haejangguk (coagulated ox blood hangover soup), Wang-tonkatsu (king size pork-cutlet), Chapsal soondae (glutinous rice pork sausage), Bossam (boiled pork with wraps) and Suyuk (boiled pork). Using only Korean pork and Australian beef.
