Slow walk at TTDI Park & Penang Prawn Mee~ New Yong Len Coffeeshop, TTDI

Feels a little burned out. Decided to take things slow and go for a morning date with bestie. After drop off her daughter to school, we went to TTDI Park for a leisure walk~ a slow one, just half of my usual speed so I barely sweat. TTDI park still as beautiful as my first time visit. Some tree leaves turn red resembled autumn foliage, too bad my iPhone camera can't capture the redness and the feel. After the walk we went to New Yong Len~ a nearby coffeeshop for the must eat Penang Prawn Mee~ and not forget to buy home the Ampang famous Teow Chew Chai Kueh (should be Cheras famous Teow chew chai keuh now since they've moved to Cheras). And that's not the end of our dating, we also stop by nursery to get ourselves plants too and I will be blog in another separate post later.

Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice, Pudu

Happily indulge with my kind of Claypot chicken rice this afternoon. The rice is well seasoning with soy sauce marinade and love the slightly burn yet crispy dark dark scorched rice at the bottom of the claypot. Yeah, I really love foods that made of soy sauce based. Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice is recently awarded as Michelin Bib Gourmand. Friend bought me here not because of the Michelin title, it is because of I wanted to try those old established and well known claypot chicken rice around in Klang valley. We shared a large claypot chicken rice, a small pig stomach peppery soup and also added an extra salted fish since my friend loves salted fish. Now it is Ramadan, less traffic on the road during lunchtime peak hours so it's a good time to drive to Pudu for lunch. So blessed to be able to enjoy nice claypot chicken rice again and also blessed to have a foodie friend to enjoy the food (or fight for the food) together hehe.
