The frequency of blogging can't catch up with the frequency of eat out lately lol. Wake up on a sunny Sunday thinking of Indian banana leaf~ check my must-eat-list for the five banana leaf restaurants that I've saved, decided to head to PJ old town for Sri Ganapathi Mess that operate inside an old bungalow. Located opposite a primary school - Sekolah Kebangsaan (1) Petaling Jaya, with no signage outside - luckily it is not difficult to locate as picture of the restaurant outlook can be find in google reviews. After entering the gate, there's the open kitchen where the worker frying fish or meat before we enter into the house. Inside looks like ordinary house layout with dining tables in the living room and rooms, with air-conditioning. We had the banana leaf set with par-boiled rice and extra side~ fried fish (freshly fried upon order), crispy bitter gout, chicken curry which is a bit meatless and bony and the recommended to try crab rasam. A happy Sunday and a happy tummy with satisfying and happy meal.

Tasty Chapathi, Bukit Damansara
After our Indian food adventure at Little India, Brickfirleds, today we come to Bukit Damansara for "atas" Chapathi. My previous dine-in for "atas" Indian food should be the Khaana Peena at Plaza Mont Kiara that already closed down some times ago. Anyway, the food is tasty, just like it's name ~ Tasty Chapathi. We shared 2 plain chapathi and 2 butter chapathi, their chapathi doesn't serve with curry gravy so we need to order the gravy separately which is Methi Chicken (Chicken dunked in a creamy fenugreek gravy) and Chana Masala (Chickpea dunked in a masala gravy). Obviously the 4 pcs of chapathi is too little for us to enjoy with the delicious Methi Chicken and Chana Masala. So we end up order a plain steamed-basmati rice and fully enjoy the creamy gravy!

Banana Leaf~ Passion of Kerala, New World Park, Penang
March 2011. Back to Penang over the weekend, again. Manage to meet up with bestie and few gang members at Passion of Kerala, New World Park for my favourite banana leaf and at my favourite banana leaf place~ The banana leaf rice meal comes with 4 types of veggie and serve along with 3 types of curry~ dhal, chicken and fish. We order additional deep fried squid, fried bitter gourd chicken masala and fried fish to share and these are the most favourable dishes that I would order whenever I am here. Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh who is in wheelchair was here too at Passion of Kerala, guess it must be his favourite place too as it is not my first time seeing him dine-in at Passion of Kerala.
