Oryukdo Skywalk, Busan 부산 오륙도 스카이워크

After Haedong Yonggungsa, we head down to Namgu to experience the Oryukdo skywalk~ our 3rd stop. Oryukdo Skywalk is built on the edge of rock cliff. It has transparent glass walk passage in U shape where we could see thru what is under our feet when we are walking on the cliff towards the sea. The skywalk is free of charge and there are staff-in-charge take care of visitors and control the crowds. It's quite thrill to walk on the glass plate especially when it is closest to the sea. I've seen Oryukdo from far many times in Haeundae. Seeing it so closely here is first time.

Oryukdo - also known as Five-Six Island, is a group of rocky island at the south sea and east sea; where 5 islands can be seen at low tide and 6 islands at high tide. The island closest to the mainland - Usak-do is the one that can be appear to be two separate islands during high tide. The two islands also known as Bangpae-seom and Sol-seom. While the other 4 islands follow by it's distance closest to mainland after Usak-do are uri-seom, Songgot-seom Gul-seom and Deungdae-seom. All islands are uninhabited except for Deungdaeseom, which has Oryukdo Lighthouse on it. The Lighthouse serves as a gateway to Busan-hang (Busan Port) where ships entering Busan must pass by here.

Cafe by the sea~ Bay 266, Ilgwang, Gijang

October 2017/ Day 14 in Busan. So we walked over to Cafe Bay 266~ a cafe by the sea for coffee and chill after lunch. Busan has a lot of nice cafe by the sea especially in Gijang. It's my first time visit Ilgwang after been to Busan so many times. This double storey building with lower ground carpark, has an extended rooftop allow u to chill out with unblock seaview. The Cafe first floor has an indoor seating with airconds and comfortable sofa but always full house, same goes to the first floor outdoor terrace. We chose to sit at the ground floor beneath the open rooftop which is closer with the beach. After coffee break, took a walk at the rocky beach to get closer with the clear sea water. Probably it is due to autumn? Beaches at Busan doesn't have the strong 'salty sea smell" when wind blows. Love my day with iced-latte, blue sky and sea breeze in my 2nd week in Busan.

송정 항동방파제등대 와 죽도공원~ Seongjeong Port Lighthouse & Jukdo Gongwon

October 2017. Day 14 in Busan. I wanted to visit these two lighthouse closely whenever passed by Seongjeong beach when I was in Busan. Finally I made it today. Seongjeong beach is one of the major beach of Busan East Sea, alongside Haeundae and Gwanganli, also a surfing paradise. These two lighthouse in red and white is known as Seongjeong Port Lighthouse(s). There are also other unique design lighthouse in Busan in my visit-list, when there's a chance I will definitely visit one by one.

Next to Seongjeong port lighthouse is Jukdo Gongwon - a small hilly park next to Seongjeong beach. As I walk from the lighthouse direction and not thru the park entrance, I do not know what to expect until I reach the top of the park where there is a pavilion at the end next to the sea. The seaview is stunning. And the small park itself is beautifully decorate by pine trees, greens and colorful flowers. When walk down to the park entrance, Seongjeong beach can be see in whole from the park. So glad that I finally visits Seongjeong today.

민락수변공원~ Millak Waterside Park. Gwanganli, Busan

October 2015. After dinner, we went for a walk at Millak Waterside Park which is just across a street from the restaurant we dine-in. Located between Haeundae Beach and Gwangalli Beach, Millak waterside park is famous with close view of Gwangan daegyo and also abundant of Raw Fish Centre (in multi-storey building) along the waterfront. Ground floor is seafood market selling live fishes, 2nd floor on-wards are raw fish restaurants. Here you can buy your preferred fish or seafood at reasonable price at the ground floor, then bring it to any raw fish restaurants at the levels above, turn it into raw fish with some charges. The charges is included the dipping sauce and some side dish as well. Or you can just get the raw fish or other dish from the restaurant directly. Most of the restaurants in Raw Fish Center have a view of Gwangan Daegyo & Millak waterside park. You can enjoy the raw fish at the restaurant or take away to enjoy it at the park by the seaside, just like the locals did. There is no sandy beach, only paved beach promanade that extended to the sea. Seems like sitting at the seaside pavers with picnic mat, enjoying Gwangan Daegyo night view with raw fish and soju is a popular activity here.

Before head home, we drop by Cafe Gelateria~ a cafe famous with Italian ice cream~ Gelato. We are here for their popular "Honey Love Toast" Set which consists of Toast + Soft Yogurt Ice-cream + Americano. The combination of the warm fluffy toast with cold yogurt ice-cream is seriously addictive! At first I was doubt that if I can enjoy the dessert since I am still feeling full, but....never underestimate our stomach - there are always room for coffee and desserts after meal haha!

📍Cafe Gelateria. 17-3. Gwangan Haebyeon-ro 344 boen-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan

부산 광안리 과 광안대교~ Gwanganli Beach & Gwangan Daekyo, Busan

January 2010. Day 4 in Busan. Beside Haeundae, another beach worth to visit in Busan is Gwanganli. Gwanganli is more well-know with Gwangan Daekyo (Gwangan bridge) - a suspension bridge that connects Haeundae-gu to Suyeong-gu - which can be view from any part from the beach. Gwangan Daekyo also known as diamond bridge, as it bling and shine like a diamond at night. Just like Haeundae, Gwanganli is filled with hotels, restaurants and cafes along the beach. Gwanganli is also well known with sashimi restaurants and seafood market at Millak dong - upper side of Gwananli. From Milak-dong, we slowly walk to the other side of Gwanganli - Namcheon-dong. This part of Gwanganli is the closest point to see Gwangan Daekyo from the coast. Besides that, the Samik Beach Town Apartment complex next to the coast is a popular spot for cherry blossom during spring.
