Hello April~ it's been a while since last post update. Again I am busy with work and life (going here and there exploring around whenever I am off work). thus no time to blog. Before April end, I was here at Gravy Baby for the pie with friend during lunch break. Did a quick check on my last visit to Gravy baby, omg! it's March 2021 before Christal leaving Malaysia~ that long ago! Order a pie and their lunch set to share~ their pie still good as usual. It's slow cooked steak to tender steak + wild button mushrooms in rich British gravy. Lunch set is a 3 courses meal that comes with a drink. We chose onion rings and house salad as appetizer, fish & chip as main and ice lemon tea. Fish and chip is good except the serving portion is small (according to my standard lol). Besides food, we also enjoy watching the compilation of famous old Hollywood movies including Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, Demi Moore's Striptease etc playing on the tv screen.

Healy Mac's Irish Bar & Restaurant, Jalan P. Ramlee
This should be the 4th Healy Mac I have been to and all 4 are at difference locations~ Straits Quay, Penang, Changkat Bukit Bintang and Publika. Healy Mac Straits Quay is the first outlet I went in 2011 and it has nice outdoor seating with pier view! While this P. Ramlee's outlet has partial Petronas Twin Tower view from their outdoor seating, no wonder it is always occupied with foreigner with beers despite the weather is hot. Today I am here for lunch since it's office nearby and I've been to next door's Gravy Baby but not Healy Mac yet. My friend had their Australian Beef Burger while I I tried their lunch special~ cream of mushroom soups & chicken sandwich and it comes with free bottomless lemon tea, that only available in this P. Ramlee outlet. No beer for this round since we both are working today.

No pies, but Full English Breakfast & Margherita Pizza~ GravyBaby, Jalan P. Ramlee
Before my lunch buddy Christal left to Dubai and not coming back for a long time, we have lunch date here at Gravy baby nearby my new office. Gravy baby is famous with it's pie (that's what they indicate). Since I have tried the pie before and the pie is a little too small to fill my hungry, I choose to go for their Full English Breakfast and Christal want Margherita pizza. Come to think about it, she always order pizza when we have lunch date haha. Not sure if it is because of the hot weather, the seating area in front the bar counter or near the entrance and open windows are so hot. We end up asked to move our seats to behind the bars counter. Look forward to spend a day with her next next week when she came by to stayover at my place.

Bens, Suria KLCC
February 2020. Traffic jam badly after work, decided to turn into Suria KLCC and have dinner first before go home. End up at Bens for pasta (and I just had pasta with Christal during lunch lol). Wanted the sofa seats next to the window but none of it available when we walked-in. So waiter arrange us to sit at the table nearest to the window seat so we could still enjoy view outside. I had Seafood Marinara Spaghettini and he go for Hot'n'Spicy Seafood Spagettini. The waiter has warned him that the pasta could be too spicy for him to handle, so he ask to reduce the spiciness. Still he find it over spicy. Not recommended if you can't handle spicy well.

My 41st birthday~ Two Sons Bistro, The Starling Mall
February 2020. I got another birthday meal at Two Sons on the day I turned forty-one. unexpectedly. We had mussels with chili butter cream (weight approx. 900gram), 2 sets of garlic breads, a pasta carbonara and flat white. The mussels dish itself serve along with garlic breads. Since I have seafood allergy and I can't touch the mussels, the extra garlic bread is for me to enjoy the creamy gravy instead of mussels. Not a "happy" birthday this year with uncertainty due to coronavirus....

Pasta Bolognese & Pasta Carbonara~ Bonjour Garden Bakery Cafe, The Intermark
This bakery cafe that I always grab some bread for breakfast in the morning also selling nice pasta and pizza for lunch. Another good pasta place in The Intermark where when Christal and I feel like having nice pasta during lunch hour beside Porto Romano. Always full house during lunch hour. We often go for the Pasta Beef Bolognese @ RM34 and Pasta Carbonaro @ RM36. Price is not friendly for our lunch budget so we don't often have it, maybe once in a two months. Portion served is pretty large size if you are a small eater, for sure will make u food coma after the meal haha! So after meal we will definitely go for a walk or shop a little in the mall before get back to work.

Coliseum Cafe, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman
Searching for local style western food for dinner as we miss our usual place for Hainanese Western Food at Mount Erskine back in Penang. And I found this Coliseum Cafe & Grill Room selling Hainanese Western Food - house in a heritage building in Jalan TAR since 1921. Such a long history! It's full house inside but we did not wait too long for a table. The British Colonial interior makes us feel like we are back to Penang! Looks like staffs here from Kitchen staffs to waiters has been work here for decades. Majority of them are uncles and aunties speaking in Cantonese accents, they looks like they already passed their their retirement age but still very fit and efficient at work.
We order Hainanese Chicken Chop, Baked Crabmeat and Banana and Chocolate Spring Rolls with Vanilla Ice-cream as dessert. The Hainanese chicken chop taste has the old school taste that I am looking for. Baked Crabmeat is smaller than expected yet it is fully stuffed with crabmeat inside. Taste good to eat with mayonnaise dipping sauce together. And our dessert ~ Banana and chocolate spring rolls with vanilla ice-cream, lovely. The spring roll is filled with banana inside and chocolate sauce drizzling on top is still hot while it served. Eat it together with the cold vanilla ice cream, perfect. We are happy with our meal tonight~

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Sunway Pyramid
February 2012. Sis and family visit us again. This is their third short weekend getaway at our place since I relocated to KL. After one and a half year staying in Kota Kemuning, we are moving again. This time we will be moving to Mont Kiara. Since this will be our last month here, we decided hang around the nearby neighbourhood as we might not come back that often after move (Mont Kiara to Kota Kemuning is 35km away!). Sis suggest to try out Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at Sunway Pyramid ~ American seafood restaurant specialized in shrimp, inspired by the 1994 Oscar-winning movie Forrest Gump, so here we are! The restaurant was created based on the theme from the movie, such as the Blue & Red flip-card. Waiter said if we flip to Blue (Run Forrest Run) means we need assistance; while Red (Stop Forrest Stop) means no service needed. And that ping-pong paddle in the condiment bucket that represent Forrest's ping pong player history. Don't think we use that flip cards, we just waive hands when we need services lol.

Here's the food we had at Bubba starting from Crazy Cajun Chicken~ Grilled boneless chicken thighs lightly dusted with Cajun spices, served over seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes. The taste is good as how it looks!
Crispy Onion Rings & Bucket of Boat Trash~ consist of deep fried shrimp, lobster tail and fish fillet with fries. No picture of supersized-crispy-tender onion rings as it was sapu (finish) as soon as served.
Lt. Dan’s Barbeque Rib & Chicken Combo~ The ribs are tender so is the chicken thigh! Although they are specializing in Shrimp dishes but I personally think their rib is the best!

And lastly " ... Of Course We Have Scampi!" Sis really make a good choice~ love the tender shrimp sautéed with capers in lemon-garlic butter, then served over a bed of linguine. Nice! We all have a good time with good food while gather together~
