Korean Mozzarella Rice Flour Corn Dog~ Myeongrang Shidae Ssal Hotdog 명랑시대 모짜 쌀 핫도그

After the Kalguksu as late lunch, on the way home, walk passed this newly open hotdog place and can't resist. Decided to get one to try. This Myeongrang Shidae which is founded in Busan in 2016 is selling ssal-hotdog - their corn dog is coated with rice flour batter. Texture is more crusty compare to normal corn-dog that using wheat flour batter. Their basic hotdog price starts from 1,000 won, not exceeding 2,000 won. It become popular among students and begin to expands out of Busan in 2017. Currently it has exceeded 600 franchise stores around the nation.





There are 6 types of hotdogs: The Original / with Cheddar cheese / with Mozzarella cheese / Mozzarella cheese + squid ink hotdog / Jumbo Hot Dog and Tteok (rice cakes) instead of hotdog. You can mix any of the choice of sauce and topping prefer. Sauce available are ketchup, cheese mustard, honey mustard, sweet chili, hot ketchup sauce and cheddar cheese. While the topping are sugar, parmesan cheese powder, cheese powder and honey butter. I tried the Mozzarella Cheese Ssal Hotdog @ 1,500 won with sugar topping - the original way that usually sold on the street.
