Not sure if this is our late lunch or early dinner. We had Kalguksu at this Kalguksu--jib in the neighbourhood around 5pm. Order a Duelkkae Sujebi 들깨수제비~ hand pulled dough in perilla seed powder soup for him and I had Bibim Kalguksu 비빔칼곡수~ Dried mixed handmade knife cut noodle. The milky broth of Duelkkae sujebi is made from grind perilla seed powder so it has a nutty taste which I quite like. While Bibim Kalguksu is pretty much taste like the bibim-naengyeon except for the noodle is different. The mix sauce is very similar to bibim-naengmyeon sauce which is mild spicy with sweetness. The shredded cabbage and dry seaweed added as topping make the dish refreshing and savory. This place is not a famous matjib but more like a neighbourhood noodle place that well known among the locals.
