My birthday gift plant~ Plant Nursery, Persiaran Dutamas

Bestie and I got each other a plant as (a belated) birthday gift at nursery in the neighbourhood after our walk and breakfast at TTDI. This nursery opposite Hartamas Regency is not a big scale nursery but they have nice range and variety of plants in various size and reasonable price. The 2 male workers and a lady who seems like the person in charge is friendly and attentive. We end up choose Fircus Elastica which is rubber plant. where bestie goes for the tineke since she likes bright and colorful. While mine is Robusta since I like classic green. The plants we choose is RM35 each, planters is RM25 each and soil is RM4. We will come back to get more next time.

Slow walk at TTDI Park & Penang Prawn Mee~ New Yong Len Coffeeshop, TTDI

Feels a little burned out. Decided to take things slow and go for a morning date with bestie. After drop off her daughter to school, we went to TTDI Park for a leisure walk~ a slow one, just half of my usual speed so I barely sweat. TTDI park still as beautiful as my first time visit. Some tree leaves turn red resembled autumn foliage, too bad my iPhone camera can't capture the redness and the feel. After the walk we went to New Yong Len~ a nearby coffeeshop for the must eat Penang Prawn Mee~ and not forget to buy home the Ampang famous Teow Chew Chai Kueh (should be Cheras famous Teow chew chai keuh now since they've moved to Cheras). And that's not the end of our dating, we also stop by nursery to get ourselves plants too and I will be blog in another separate post later.

Iberico Pork Ribs Bak Kut Teh~ Black Market, Isetan Suria KLCC

Isetan KLCC has been undergoing a major revamp for their food market and the non-halal section is now expanded and occupied a bigger section. And there is this non-halal restaurant named Black Market operate inside the non halal section which is the first non-halal restaurant in Petronas twin tower. Not many options in the menu, since Iberico Pork Ribs Bak Kut Teh is I wanted to try and the Kakuni Rice Set also listed as their signature dish, we go for these 2 as our choice. However, we waited one hour for our food to be served. When we were here around 1230 noon, there's about 11 customers ahead us in this small space with an open kitchen.

We believe that BKT and Kakuni usually already pre-cook, restaurant workers just need to reheat it before serve. But the two foreign workers obviously not well trained and they are pretty slow to handle the food. There is a Chinese guy who seems like the person in charge somehow busy showing or promoting the restaurant to someone else despite all tables is occupied but no food is serve yet. The Iberico pork ribs bkt broth is quite unique as it is thick like filled with collagen. Taste wise is average, not super good also not bad. Price is on the high side since it is located in the prime area. Long waited probably is reason we don't consider to come back again for lunch.

Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice, Pudu

Happily indulge with my kind of Claypot chicken rice this afternoon. The rice is well seasoning with soy sauce marinade and love the slightly burn yet crispy dark dark scorched rice at the bottom of the claypot. Yeah, I really love foods that made of soy sauce based. Huen Kee Claypot Chicken Rice is recently awarded as Michelin Bib Gourmand. Friend bought me here not because of the Michelin title, it is because of I wanted to try those old established and well known claypot chicken rice around in Klang valley. We shared a large claypot chicken rice, a small pig stomach peppery soup and also added an extra salted fish since my friend loves salted fish. Now it is Ramadan, less traffic on the road during lunchtime peak hours so it's a good time to drive to Pudu for lunch. So blessed to be able to enjoy nice claypot chicken rice again and also blessed to have a foodie friend to enjoy the food (or fight for the food) together hehe.
