My first time buying whole lemang in bamboo in KL, after living here more than a decade. The place we get lemang is roadside stalls located at the Jalan Damansara, TTDI (in front of the Malay Cemetery). Every year few days before Raya starts, these lemang stalls will pop-up along the roadside, bakar the lemang and cooking the curry rendang on the site. The stalls will be there until Raya eve normally. The lemang I get is large size and it cost RM25 per bamboo. Smaller size is around RM18. Rendang per box is RM10. Because of delicious, we went back to get lemang again on the eve. This year Raya comes one day early than expected~ all Malaysians including me suddenly get to enjoy a super long weekend holiday from Friday till Wednesday for the Raya and Labour Day Replacement holiday.
