Christmas Decorations 2022 in Publika

I have not able to go jogging after work for almost a week due to rain in the evening everyday! This evening again it is raining but drizzle, I decided just go for a walk with umbrella to Publika to see Christmas tree as it usually up around this time. This year Publika Christmas tree is fairy tales version ~ candies, lollipops, ice creams, cakes, donuts, and my all time favourite gingerbread man and gingerbread girl as their ornaments. It's cute, but I also miss those artsy and unique x'mas tree that Publika had in the past and I have not seen it for years. 

Thursday Market, Plaza Mont Kiara

It's been a while since I last visited the Thursday market. Today I have 'a after work date' with bestie, to get some fruits from the Thursday. Happy to discover many new food sellers pop out besides the long existing one. Got myself some cucur udang and my favourite Penang asam laksa as today's dinner as well besides fruits. My favourite Break'O'Day~ CBTL, Shoplex Mont Kiara

My favourite place for my favourite breakfast during weekends when I lazy to travel out of MK. For years, whenever I am here, I have been loyally having the same breakfast~ Break'O'day, from earlier days price was around RM17++ to now RM25++. Seeing the familiar faces of those staffs who work here left one by one. Everything and everyone is changing, only me still stick to my choice. Suddenly this thought came to mind when I am eating my breakfast...  

Japas by Jeff Ramsey, Bukit Damansara

Just because I wish to see the night view again after I see it for the first time early this year, my wish come true. Not only the KL skyscrapers night view is stunning, right next from the table; the food are great too! Spanish Anchovies, Olives & Umeboshi, Smoked Ikura Tartelette, Torched Shimesaba, Sashimi of The Day and Braised Beef cheek. pair with white wine. One of the best moment before 2022 end.

Weekend Lunch date with bro~ Paradise Dynasty, 163 Retail Park

Weekend lunch date with brother nearby my place as usual. Craving for xiao long bao, also rice and dishes, so we choose to have lunch at Paradise Dynasty in 163 Retail Park. Since sis and me are buying him a belated birthday meal, we order more dishes than usual. Guess we overdo it. We manage finish everything just the two of us, but it was so full that there's no more room for coffee or cake or dessert after meal. It was a great meal, though.

Henry & Camile, Bukit Damansara

Were here for lunch, wanted local flavors but found out that what we want is is no available in the menu. So we choose to share a tagliatelle grilled salmon carbonara, a fluffy pancake topped with fresh fruits and snow sugar, served with maple syrup and butter, keropok lekor and 2 americano. The pancake serve golden berry as one of it's topping. It's my first time trying the golden berry. It has a tangy taste, it's like eating cherry tomato with tropical fruit taste. A cozy place that feels like I am at home~

Nice BKT in the neighbourhood~ Sum Hou Bak Kut Teh, Desa Sri Hartamas

Went back hometown over the weekend spent time with family, then drive back to KL together with parents who will short stay for 2 days at my place. After arrived MK, bring them here for lunch with Bak Kut Teh at Desa Sri Hartamas. I discover this BKT nearby during Covid Pandemic on Grab. Have been orders their BKT by grab several times. This is my first time dine-in after pandemic over. Order a half-fat-half-lean BKT (soup), a dry BKT, add on button mushrooms and fucuk, some you-tiao, vinegar pork trotter and Choy sum. I am glad that we have nice BKT here in neighbourhood without have to travel out from MK.

Phad Thai Nuea Yang & Tomyam Talay~ Baan PhadThai, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

Lunch with bestie before she leaves KL tomorrow. Saw this Baan Phadthai last night when we were here for chimek. Suggest her Baan Phad Thai, she immediately say okay after have a look at the menu. We order Phad Thai Nuea Yang (Phad Thai with grilled steak), Tomyam Talay (Tom yam seafood soup served with Jasmine rice), and 2 ginger & lemongrass tea. The grilled steak that comes with Phad Thai served in a big plate! The steak is so juicy and tender, really worth for the RM29 I would say! Surprise to find out that Baan Phadthai is awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand in Bangkok for 5 years in a row from 2018 to 2022 after the meal. We made a really good choice to have lunch here today!

Somaek with bestie~ K-Experience by Kyochon, Pavilion KL

Bestie and I wanted to have talk over soju tonight. We both not a drinker. In fact I don't remember if we ever drink together after knowing each other for almost 20 years. Few days ago when I was in Pavilion with my Korean collogue who is holidaying in KL recommend me K-Experience which is having a promotion with buy 4 Cass beer Free 1 Soju. exactly what I am looking for. Besides the talk, we have fun laugh out loud with somaek (Soju + Maekju) and Red pepper serioes Kyochon fried chicken. Half drunk after finished 3 cans of Cass & 1 Soju. Feel so sorry to the Oppa who drink alone and find us too noisy, and move from indoor to outdoor seating haha!
