Trying to recall my last time staying in a hotel in Genting, think it should be more than a decade ago. Stayed before at Resort World Hotel, Theme Park hotel, First World Hotel, even the Ria apartment that many said it is haunted when I was in my 20s-30s. After relocated to KL, Genting become so near and have been going to Genting frequently with family and friends, or when we feel like wanna chill up there but mostly are day trip. This time a relative of his visit KL for golf tournament, we went for weekend staycation together at Genting together. Chose to stay in this brand new hotel - Grand Ion Delemen which completed not so long ago, somewhere in last year. The view from room is nice, can see the changing of colors and weather of Genting from sunny to misty in short moment when I sitting at the window enjoying the view over a cup of coffee. Breakfast wise variety and choice is equals to hotel standard so nothing to be complaint. Except for, from carpark to our room at Tower 2, and from our room to the breakfast kitchen, needs to change lift twice at level 7 and walk thru a linked bridge, which seems a bit long distance. And, it is not walkable to Genting sky avenue, however there is a hourly shuttle bus provided by the hotel with a small fee. Overall it is quiet and great for staycation.
