From a roadside stall, expanded and move to a large premises just few doors away. Hon Kei has been selling pork porridge for decades. Now their new premises occupied 3 shop-lots in Kampung Malabar. Besides pork porridge, there are mixed pork soup with noodle or rice, and the choice the pork parts that you prefer. As a fan-tong (rice lover), I go for the yam rice with salted veggie mixed pork soup (with minced pork and steaky). Other 2 friends also have the same thing as me except the "liao" (choice of meat for the soup) is different. He alone goes for pork noodle with thick vermicelli noodle. Beside salted veggie soup, the other choice of soup is bitter gourd mixed pork soup. The place is full house since we were there at lunch hours. However we were lucky today, not only we get a parking in front of the shop, also able get a table for 4 without waiting. Food served pretty fast after order placed cuz they have many staffs! It's always great to meet up friends for delicious meal and short catch-up whenever we back to Penang.
