Everyday Kopitiam, Plaza Mont Kiara

November 2025. Yay finally Mont Kiara has a Kopitiam again. Actually its not really a Kopitiam but more like a foodcourt hidden at the carpark level but offers kopitiam's food at kopitiam price~  I discover this place (is back for business) somewhere in May when I orders Joe's Pork Burger thru Grab. This hidden foodcourt that used to sell mixed rice and chu-char has been existed for a long time even way before I moved to Mont Kiara 16 years ago! However, business was bad after covid, so the place closed down. Anyway, glad to see the place has been revamp into Kopitiam with around 6 food stalls available, and it is air-conditioned (unlike previously the place was hot and stuffy with only ceiling fans available).

Among all stalls, this Zhang Jia Noodle House's Kai-shi hor-fun (Ipoh hor-fun) is the most popular choice with queues during lunch hour. However when I was here during weekend for breakfast, it was okay with no crowds. The Kai-shi hor fun is good, the hor fun and chicken meat is so silky. The broth was so flavourful I finished the entire bowl with no broth left haha. So far I've tried shredded chicken and prawn hor fun, kshf with drumstick, curry mee even the dry version kshf all are good. The kopi is kaw and good too. Keen to try other food stalls which is selling nasi lemak, wantan mee, western food and pizza etc next time after I get enough of kshf. Tucked at the level 1 of Block C, either you climb the stairs next to Kenangan Kopi to the Kopitiam, or take lift to the level 1 carpark, and you will be able to see the entrance to the kopitiam on your left.
