Half day trip to Kuala Selangor~ Boon Chuan Seafood Restaurant, Jalan Pasir Penambang & Cendol Bakar

On leave to renew passport at Jalan Duta Immigration Dept. The renewal has been submitted online a week before and approved. However still needs to queue one and half hour queue to get the renewal compete. Not going to complaint since we all know it is due to the overwhelming request for the passport renewal after MCO over. Since I was asked to come back again after 7pm to collect my passport, decided to flee out from the city for lunch and short getaway. And here we are~ drove 45mins to Kuala Selangor for seafood lunch.

Instead of go to those large scale seafood restaurants at the tourist hotspot, my half-day getaway partner in crime randomly pick this wooden jetty house that turn into eatery, located in the middle of a row of Jetty houses along the riverside at Jalan Pasir Panambang. We had deep fried tiny shark, crispy oyster omelet, garlic stir fried lettuce and a lala beehoon, plus Chinese tea for two. This meal cost us RM69 only for 2 pax~ reasonable charge and tasty too! The Lala beehoon only come in one size so the portion is quite huge for 2 of us, end up takeaway the balance home.

After meal we drive further down and discover that this is the old jetty area. There are more seafood restaurants and local seafood products shops at the shophouses area down the road. Since my friend is buying the lunch , so I offer to buy us several packets of freshly deep fried prawn crackers for us to bring home to share with family and friends. On the way back, before go into highway, we also stop by this Cendol Bakar place that was once super popular and appear or introduce by many national tv programme. Now post-Covid lockdown, not many tourists visit Kuala Selangor like before, the place is so quiet and there are only 2 customers when we arrived. We had normal cendol and a durian cendol. Taste so so, maybe I shouldn't compare it to my favourite Penang road cendol.
