February 2020. It's been a long while since our last hike at Bukit Koara, probably more than 10 months. Surprise to find out a large portion of the jungle next to the Ayuria entrance has now gone for the upcoming housing project which is name Serene Mont Kiara. Actually we already saw some construction is going on during our previous hikes in past 2 years, and the construction sound can be hear along the way when we begin to hike up. Now seeing it with our eyes that part of the jungle of Bukit Kiara is gone, can't help to feel sad and disbelief as we thought Bukit Kiara is a reserved forest (apparently it is not formally gazetted as a permanent forest reserve after I run several checks online). Today we hike until TTDI view point which is 15 mins hike away from the fence, then u-turn back to our starting point. Total time for the hike is about 1hr 30mins, with distance around 7.5km.
