We have moved to Kuala Lumpur since 2012. For some reason I delay in change of new address, resulted us has to return to Shah Alam Immigration Office for the LSTVP Renewal in 2016; and we have a worst experience ever! Despite driving 30-45mins from KL to here, the 150 queue numbers has given out even though we reached around 8am. And we had to come again the next day 5.45am and join in the super early bird long queue with others just to obtain a queue number. Shah Alam immigration office is experiencing a overwhelming requests recent years. Since we are suppose to go to the nearest Immigration office nearby our home, I've make a request to transfer his file to Immigration Office in Jalan Duta after change of my address in Mykad recently.
For this request, we are not required to get queue number for the counters. Just need to obtain the form from the inquiry table and fill up the necessary, attached copy of his passport cover, valid visa page and my mykad that with the new address, submit it to the inquiry counter once it is completed. We were informed that the transferring process takes about 3 months. 3 months later we need to visit the Immigration Dept in Jalan Duta with the letter of transfer to check if the file is already being transferred. We did a check more than 3 months later, and comfirmed that his file is with Immigration Office Jalan Duta and we may carry out the upcoming renewal in Jalan Duta now.
