Old is good, old is gold. Suddenly this phrase came across my mind when my friend told me that Pau Kee has been operate more than 40 years, going to be 50 years soon. When it first started, it was a stall inside a Kopitiam at Jalan Tengkat Tong Shin (can't recall the name of the kopitiam). Then they moved to here~ Jalan Utara off Jalan Imbi and operate on it's own shop until now. Today we were here for lunch. While Ipoh style hor fun (or Kai si hor fun) is the most popular choice here, I choose to try their egg noodles with shredded chicken meat, and ask to add some curry gravy on it. While my friend goes for the signature the signature kai si hor fun but dry version. Their shrimp wanton is quite plump and fresh; each wanton has a whole shrimp in it together with the minced meat. We also shared a plate of steamed chicken~ drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil. The steam chicken is tender and seasoning is just nice. So far all those steamed chicken dish from different places which my friend recommended never disappoints; as he likes this dish and he know which place has good steamed chicken. We are sitting at the outdoor, with partial view of TRX (mostly block by the tree at roadside). It's not easy find parking places plus the street itself doesn't have parking lots, so park at your own risk if you want to park at the roadside just like others.
